Avishkar was introduced in December 2008. It was an intra-college event in its first year, which received a staggering response from the students of first year under graduates. Later, in 2009, Avishkar gave an opportunity to other colleges to participate in the competition which was an Inter college event. Since then, Avishkar is conducted in two phases 1) Intra level and 2) Inter level. This event is organized by the 2nd year undergraduate students under the guidance of the 3rd years. The IEEE student branch of Vignana Bharathi Institute of Technology has been selected for the prestigious Darrel chong student activity award (gold prize) for 2011.This is an international award with global recognition.
Avishkar has been a convenient platform for the 1st year B.Tech students to
have an effective interaction with the seniors. Avishkar is one of the key events under IEEE
VBIT SB aimed exclusively at the first years. IEEE VBIT SB has been successful
in conducting the event for the past 8 years and aims to continue to do so in
future.
